Signals

The daily read across Southeast Asia.

Every card in the daily read on one ring: how fast evidence is moving, what kind of effect it has, and where it lands across the eleven markets.

// The daily read, on one page

Pressure ring.

All 21 readings of the daily Signals page on one ring, showing which forces are moving fastest and what each means for a business in ASEAN. As of 15 Oct 2026.

What the ring shows
  1. The whole daily read on one page. Each shape is one of the 21 cards: circles are global forces bearing on ASEAN, squares are regional rules, and diamonds are ASEAN trends.
  2. How fast conditions are changing. The nearer a card sits to the centre, the faster the evidence on it is moving. Cards on the outer ring are steady.
  3. What each card means for business. Colour is the kind of effect on a business operating in ASEAN: Opportunity conditions are improving, Pressure costs or constraints are building, Threat a clear harm or risk, Mixed signals pull both ways, and Holding no clear change.
  4. Where the weight of reporting sits. Larger shapes carry more reported incidents this week. A halo and ▲ show a card gathering pace, and ▼ one that is fading.
  5. How the forces connect. A line joins cards that rest on the same story or touch the same markets, so one development is seen reaching several parts of the picture.

What to take from it: the cards near the centre that are red or orange are where conditions are changing fastest against business. Open the heat map to see which markets they are landing in.
